Hi All,

Has anyone come across the waistgate solenoid buzzing its head off with ignition on engine not running or engine running?

I've checked power in 11.8 volts, checked resistance between the PCM and the solenoid (OK), and I've checked that the solenoid actually works with + on the correct side.

Any hints as to where to go from here would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Did you figure out what the problem was? Solenoid stuffed?

If it's stuffed I'll grab it if possible. Doing project with a dead one

Bcs works on hertz not volts. Get a multi that reads frequency & run again

Technically hertz is just an on/off cycling of volts....

But yes, you'll need a multimeter to see if the computer is 'driving' the actuator correctly.
