Hopefully someone can help out. I have an 06 BF mk2, I have a suspicion that it has the BA style fuel tank rather then the FG. How can I tell which one it is?

Thanks, Joe

Thanks ratter, so it's the early style. Is it possible to use the later style swirl pot?

Yes, it is however the swirl pot needs to be adapted to the early style top outlet.

We have them available if you get stuck.

Thanks for that KPM, I was looking into your twin intank setup, and I'd still like to go in that direction rather then putting an external surge setup. I understand that the extra hose goes to a vapour lock/charcoal canister. Can that just be eliminated?

I assume you have a ute. The utes have the third outlet for the canister.

Regardless we have a correct set up for you car.

No I have a 2006 BF MK2 Sedan, but it has the BA style fuel tank. I have around 420rwkw (130mph) on e85, and currently running a walbro 400lt in my standard cradle but I get fuel surge in high gears with 1/2 tank if fuel. I'd like your twin pump setup as I'd rather not go for the external surge, will this be possible in any way?

We have 2 intank set ups setups.

Suit

BA-FG

Walbro 460 package up to 450 rwkw on E85

Suit

BF MK2 - FG

Walbro 460 package

Streetfighter twin package up to 600 rwkw on E85

My suggestion would be to replace your tank with a BFMK2-FG tank. (You can easily obtain one s/hand very cheap.)

In this way you can utilise the Streetfighter Twin intank set up. This would still be a perfect set up.

Appreciate the response KPM, I am aware of you packages and that is exactly the direction I will be going.. Out of curiosity, what volume of fuel does the streetfighter twin pot hold? I.e. What is it equivalent too in comparison to an external surge setup. I'm assuming it is a larger volume to the standard swirl pot, and that is why it stops the surging? Have you used it in a drag racing application?
