Hi Guys,

Want some real minor mods on a BF turbo, but wanna spend the absolute minimum.

Not doing this to get the most power possible, doing it simply to have the car sounding nice (that's my opinion, hence the BOV), and having that changed feel of the tune.

Thinking the following:

Injectors
Tune (around 14psi)
BOV

I imagine im gonna be somewhere in the 270rwkw region. Will I definitely need a new fuel pump and cat?

If I can help it I don't wanna bother with that but if I need to I guess I'll have to.

Cheers

It is pointless to get a tune without changing the cat in my opinion, even more so if you want 14psi.

If you want the cheapest option, why not tune only?

As for fuel pump, I had 277rwkw on the stock pump. I am not able to say how safe it was as I have no idea if any fuel pressure logging was done.

Do the pump/tune/cat and injectors in one hit.

You might needf the second air intake - heaps of them second hand in the world

They whole pump / cradle set up is a bolt in and is so cheap these days.

Injectors - plenty in the for sale area of the forum and if 270rwkw is all you want then the bosch green tops at 440cc do it nicely. (hey! I got a set!!!) Venom used to do a bolt in cat - but shop hard and maybe you can find an exhaust shop to do it for <450.

If you really are bux down . . . .a tune alone is pretty good value actually - but then who stops at the pub for "just one drink."

BTW - - - - -260 / 270 is a good street power level and bags of fun to drive without the car going mad ar*se each time you hit the go pedal.

And.... the stock intercooler is already trembling and will surrender on a hot day.

The Barra turbo motors respond really well to a few thousand in mods. I don't think doing any of this on the cheap is really well advised. may as well spend a few more dollars & reap the benifits with the safety. Just my opinion, I know others will disagree
