Best bet take it to local tow bar place and get them to do it.

I would leave it on give you an extra protection from d1ckhead that cant reverse. They will hit the tounge first.

The tongue will on tight as you have figured. However they can be removed with some force :)

If you want the entire towbar off, remove the bumper and ther are 3 or 4 bolts that bolt the bar up to the chassis.

Wiring loom should be plug n play if its a genuine bar so follow it into boot and remove.

Bumper insert can be removed and replaced with one that is not cut.
