I feel your pain. I think I am gonna buy a daily 4cyl slowmobile at the end of the year, talked about it with the fiancé and she thinks it's a good idea.Cost wise it will take a while for it to break even and start paying dividends, meanwhile I'd be driving a lame car to work like every other Joe...but I've been finding it hard to really enjoy the T for long lately as things keep wearing out on it and it stresses me out worrying if the starter motor is dying or if it's just a battery for example. Once I get up the courage to put in my new engine mounts it will be good again...except the front rotors are due for replacement too...never ends! The curse of daily driving one. Also, 228,000km today. Edited 15/04/14 11:34 AM by -SteveR-

Hasn't happened though, got a mortgage instead. Should have met her in 2017 after the car was already bought hahaha!

Probably around early next year will get a new car or look into another house.Ive got a 28km round trip to work everyday and only use 3.4ltrs of fuel, on 98 at $1.75 avg in Canberra that's 5.95 a day. Around here that's less then the cost of a bus. When u figure it's actually only $30 in fuel a week for me to get to and from work it's jack all. My costs are from longer trips on the highway every few months to see family.I'm on a lease so my cost per ltr comes down a few cents to about 17cents for the to and from work.My trip will be around 80km round trip everyday..HERESYedit... Also, 228,000km today.Another reason why I cbf selling, id get fark all selling the car and its a pain in the ass selling a car got to deal with a lot of wankers.Take a train Mika, yeah daily worth it but don't forget you got to pay another$700 in rego$70 fuelInsuranceMatinencePlus cost of car.Do you have to pay for car park or is that free?In my book if looking to save money Train it in. Parking there is free and public transport is free for me too..Train and then tram means waking up madd earlier than I need to. the jobs hours are all over the shop until I get settled into it which will take approx a year.Im kinda leaning towards:Putting the BA on gas, then upgrading the car eventually and transferring the gas system to the new car. (don't wanna splurge on a new car just yet)Or getting rid of the T and getting into a diesel or a not so sh*tter and drive that for a while. Then house or new car down the trackOr seeing how the T goes, it is all freeway driving.. I could do some more mods to the T to make a bit better on fuel, the exhaust is still std so that could free the engine up a bit and it is running a bit rich from when last on dyno for checkup.. Maybe a 91 tune?
