Looking to install a Nizpro plenum as some point & was wondering about intake options? I plan to use custom piping to get to & around everything. I'd love to utlize the stock airbox but I'm not fully convinced it can be done. Pics of what has been done in the past?

Don't think you can use the stock air box? The piping for the cooler to plenum would be in the way right.. people use turbo side intakes when using plenums, so any of the main companies intakes would work..

Stock airbox cant be used. What cooler are you using. If you use all Nizpro gear it all bolts up perfect. Where are you putting the battery. You should use turbo side intake.

Cheers for that. I think there is a way to get 'a' airbox in without needing to move the battery. I'm trying for a stock as can be look. That cast reducing piece I was planning to remove, rotate the TB 90' so the solenoids are facing down a bit. Then get a 135' silicon joiner & start running a pipe straight down in the bay. Plan to use the middle section of a FG cross pipe to go over the engine between the filter & turbo with a different final piece to make the turn in. To free up room if I need to I am looking in to whether a EB style top thermostat housing will fit so I can get the rad pipe a little more out of the way.

OK, I know this isn't orthodox, nor maybe the MOST efficient way of doing it, but I'm not so keen to start moving batteries around. The reason I was interested in the stock box was just because I didn't want to run a pod. I have found a few pod box arrangements that sit in behind the headlight that wouldn't be too bad to use if it came to it. Failing all this, I'll relocate a smaller battery under the new plenum and stick with an arrangement like seen above.

I don't like being told too much something like this can't be done, if your stubborn enough you'll find a way to do it

Cheers mate. I suppose some of it is the fact about cops looking in there & not seeing anything that might catch there eye. That & the fact chrome engine bay dress kits & blue silicon joiners look pox as hell

It doesn't get more stealth than the Nizpro airbox

The car with the blue R/C went straight of the inspection pit as with all the Nizpro mods.

I agree I hate bling. Stealth is the go

Under my bonnet is all Nizpro. Intake, battery relocate and cooler, I'm just missing the plenum, but one day will have one haha.. I got all my gear second hand so I couldn't resist the price for great quality stuff. For other options look at the usual companies like PW, Plazmaman etc.. they all have their own versions they run and they all work well.. Even boot mounted is an option to look at, when done properly its legal and frees up heaps of space in the bay..
