Hi guys

I'm in a what turbo issue as well GTX3576R quick boost nothing up top or GTX3582R slower start but produces the goods and the known reliability then there the Precision Turbo the turbo my Mitsibishi Evo mates won't shut up about

But then there's the Borg Warner range I want to research

your better off with the GTX or precision as they are T3 units, those BW are T4 which aren't direct bolt on. IM pretty sure there is a T3 drop in unit that have proven to be killer, guessing they use your original housing. A 0.9 rear I think is too small for such a big engine

but if you can find the T3 unit, not many have been used but have seen mid 9 second passes with a stock manifold which is farking fast

If your going that big and prepared to do manifold you may as we'll go big and do GTX42 or pt6766. If you wana keep standard T3 go GTX, pt6235 or mta750/900. All upto what you want

That white nizpro tuned fg running 9.4s has an EFR turbo on a stock log manifold doesnt it?

Yep.

Its all upto what you want out of it. FPVSIX you havent really said what you want out of it?

Response - 3576r (~370rwkw) or HTA3582r ( not sure on power but hard to get and reliabilty is iffy)

$ for $ - GTX3582r. Pick one up from Joe @ CMS for $1560 I believe, drop in. ( add intake joiner and actuator to any 'drop in')

More than 400rwkw but still relative decent response - Precision 6235

Proven 9 second T3 turbo: EFR 9180 (1000HP)

These are ALL T3, bolt onto log manifold and pump out serious power turbos. To be honest I dont believe there is a need for Anything bigger for the street. The only reason you would go a tuned manifold is for response and or looks.

You really are spoilt for choice.

You do need a manifold for twin scroll right

I want, what we all want, the ultimate turbo, one that's the punchiest and most responsive that spools really quick, a turbo that will not loose power top end like GTX3572R or GT3582, I'm aiming for power range 400rkw range to 600rwk range I cant see my self ever going over that mark

Not really overly interested in Strip but I intent on hitting it. more interested in track so id like the power to be there on demand but not loose puff down the straight

The two turbo I think tickle my fancy is the MTA900 or EFR8374 or the EFR9180

I don't mind dump pipe issue's as Liverpool exhaust will do a complete custom exhaust but don't want a complicated fit either as Joe @ CMS is most likely to do the fit and he will charge (if he ever gets back to me with a quote)

I would really like a twin scroll but not sure if its worth the extra coin

has any body used those T3 to T4 converters I've seen heaps on eBay, then the range can increase again

do you see my problem

I came from an age where the only Turbo people used where a TO4 so in reality I now 2/3 of jack

40 years old and trying to live the dream, when most of my mates now drive station wagons and mini busses all except 2 who have EVO's
