Im confused why are you gonna buy another t and swap the engines? Yours built or something? But yeah as mentioned your tuna gives much better advice than keyboard mechanics like me. I rebuilt my victa 2 stroke on the weekend, pretty much the same as a T ;-)

Because it's running ~470rwkw and I fancy my engine with only 30,000kms and valve springs done (soon to be built) over the one with 150k+ kms and stock that I will most likely get on a $15-20k g6et.

Will be changing over built zf, custom tailshaft, full fuel system etc etc so I may as well.

Don't wanna keep the engine in the g6e, retune, have it pop, then have to build and fit again and retune again.

Poor man pays twice!

Ah well that makes sense, just flashing the g6e ecu should be fine. Do the custom tunes stay on the xcal after you return to stock and unlock it though? Just remember reading in the xcal 1 bs that a tuna needed to grab your old tune return to stock to return the unlocked xcal 1(for a discount on xcal3) link new one and load your tune file from the 1 onto the 3.....or something like that. Which is what makes me think they may get wiped.

It seems like that oil slick is having you pay twice anyway mate.

Terrible to hear you go through this, I think most people are recommending buying a new T and just swapping the bolt ons as it will cause you fewer headaches which Im sure you have already had plenty.
