I know with the ba xr6t it has a gutted plenum but with the runner length butterflies in the earlier e series, was wondering if u put tue old plenum on the ba turbo it would help low/mid torque and still flow top end.

havent heard anyone do it but it makes sense to me.

thought's?

I reckon Ford would have already tried the complete broadband manifold in testing with the turbo motor and it must of been of some benefit for them not use what they already had.

Autospeed has a good interview with one of the ford blokes behind the xr6t. Its called 'xr6 turbo according to ford' or something along those lines......their conclusion was that a butterfly manifold was useless for the turbo application.
