I know the XR50 and XR luxury pack dash spears have a carbon look but I thought the ICC and centre console were the same piano black.

I've seen both G6ET and XR50T in person when looking to buy an FG and they both looked identical to me. The actual dash spears are not a plain piano black, they have a fake carbon finish but are still cover in flat gloss. So 1984....Yes the FPV started button is very 1984 Maybe if its possible to powdercoat it?I have many powdercoating sample books and cards you can borrow to chose a colour you like.Might be another option, but painting them will result in identical (probably better) finish to the OEM parts. I like that it's a gloss finish. The regular XR and FPV flat silver is dated and look cheap. Shame Ford did not change it with the Mk2 at least. This is XR luxury pack configuration from factory.

My dealer is currently trying to follow up the notion of providing it as an option for me (as I haven't taken delivery as yet and would be nice to get it "as is" with the black in my new car), but failing that I'm trying to see what my other options would be.
