Heres what I could dig up bit of info from zf site

5 and 6-speed as well as 4HP20 automatic transmissions:

ZF 5 and 6-speed as well as the ZF 4HP20 automatic transmissions are filled maintenance-free with specially developed partially

synthetic ATF oils. Maintenance-free fills are intended for normal operating conditions. Especially driving at very high operating

temperatures can result in accelerated aging or increased wear of ATF oils. It is recommended, in the event of severe operating

conditions, such as:

- frequent highway driving in top speed range,

- offensive, sporty driving style,

- frequent trailer operation,

being above average, oil purification (oil change) on automatic transmissions is recommended between 80,000 km and 120,000 km, or

8 years, depending on the load.

In each case, only released ATF oil may be used for oil changes. And oil changes must be performed in accordance with the relevant

specifications.

^^^ so ford will tell you they are filled for life and maintenance free but that's not quite true.

Just my 2 cents as an owner im no expert, just a noob around here really. Oh and my turbo was replaced as it shat itself whilst still with the dealer prior to me picking it up, which is surprising as I cant say I noticed anything on the test drive. Tricky one to sus out if you dont know what your listening for. Maybe listen to it wind down after youve been for a drive.(switched off) and research what a bad one sounds like.

And lastly give it some out of the dealer, they put so much damn tire shine on like every day it will probably skate to 3rd. Stocker doesn't have quite enough go for that but its a great illusion cause you will go :-o :-o :-D

Test drove it today and it did'nt disappoint! he was unsure about the trans service but did say the diff bushes were fine, these things make the old ute feel like a slug!! Ego grey looks awesome along with the beige interior, wasnt a scratch (that I could see) on her and the engine bay looked like new aswell. will try and push this ute sale along as quick as I can to get myself behind the wheel permanently in a G6et

I have come out from under the rock and discovered there is a nicer, quicker, comfortable rock I can climb into ;) VERY IMPRESSED!!

Wont be long til I want to find a decent tuner/service mechanic down this way!!

cheers guys!!!!
