As I have said before

On both 40+ degree days this summer gone and the one prior here in bne stop start traffic I never saw over 95 degrees trans temp. Cooler behind fog light no fan.

My aeroforce always has trans temp displayed and the only time I thought a fan would be needed was when it went 103 degrees during a track event at Queensland Raceway.

The boys at the transmission shop unpacked the exchanger in front of me and they were impressed with the quality, the welds on it are epic! Pretty solid unit too it's got a fair bit of weight to it over the stock unit. Good hoses too, didn't realise the stock one has hard plastic pipes with no give in them.

might give outlaw speed shop in adelaide a call in the next week or so and get a price for one. shouldnt be too hard to fit at work one day,

any idea how much fluid you lose during the replacement or just spend the extra and change the oil and filter in trans whilst im at it and have a fresh run?

Has the ZF overheating warning ever come on? With the stock Ford oil to coolant heat exchanger I never had the ZF overheat warning, no matter how hard I thrashed the car. With new oil to air cooler it can barely take half the thrashing and overheats way too easily, even on a cool night with outside temp 24 degrees.

Looks like that cooler wouldnt see much air flow, especially in traffic. Maybe add a fan to come on at 80c
