turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 21y 11m 1d Gender: Male Posted 23/03/14 12:28 AM Share Posted 23/03/14 12:28 AM I timed mine. About 40 secs after shutoff from idle in an FG that idles at 550rpm.I had a stock cast compressor wheel on my GT3540. Pretty noisy, irregular sound, you would have thought the bearings are shot. I put a billet ally compressor wheel on, no other changes, no balance and all weird noises gone. It surprised me how smooth it spins down now.
