Turbo Spin After Turned Off

I timed mine. About 40 secs after shutoff from idle in an FG that idles at 550rpm.

I had a stock cast compressor wheel on my GT3540. Pretty noisy, irregular sound, you would have thought the bearings are shot. I put a billet ally compressor wheel on, no other changes, no balance and all weird noises gone. It surprised me how smooth it spins down now.

Yeh. Spun the bearings on my old turbo few months ago. Have been traumatized ever since. I just used my stethoscope to monitor it after shut off now. All is well
