Guest thebow Guests Posted 28/01/04 08:45 PM Share Posted 28/01/04 08:45 PM Hi,Just wondering what sort of deals are around on the 2003 model XR6T utes at this stage? Is it worth going for a 2003 plated vehicle or better to order 2004? I had a mate that said he went to a dealer and there was stuff-all difference between 2003/2004 pricing so why would you bother?
Guest cul08r Guests Posted 28/01/04 09:21 PM Share Posted 28/01/04 09:21 PM I cannot accurately speak for utes, but there are no deals for T sedans due to the high demand. You might find a ute on the lot but I doubt any sane dealer would throw in more than mats to get it out the door.Good Luck anyhow.Andrew
Guest thebow Guests Posted 28/01/04 09:32 PM Share Posted 28/01/04 09:32 PM Nah,That's not right..my mate has been calling around and the general consensus on utes is that the XR8 is moving more units than the T's.Whenever I am at the dealership I see the same bunch of T/XR8 sedans and utes.I have been called several times in the past couple of months by dealers looking to do deals on 2003 models. Been offered Premium sound, tints, mats, scuff plates + fleet discount on a few models. If you paid sticker price then you most likely got ripped or were an early adopter but I guess it's always a matter of patience and priorities and no offense is intended by that comment. The BA is selling well in comparision to the AU series but they still have excess stock that will need to be moved before the 2004 models and the series II coming September? If you shop arounnd I'm sure you will find a deal you are happy with. Also 03 builds will be on the showroom floor and cut out the waiting time. If you can't find what you want on the floor you will have to order and wait. All dealers want to shift stock and will deal to do so. The only other difference will be at resale time. The build date is taken into consideration, but the difference is marginal at this stage.Oh, :tosser:

Guest bossman Guests Posted 28/01/04 11:28 PM Share Posted 28/01/04 11:28 PM I had a young trainee salesman and his boss is only in his late 20's we got talking about the T's and we all love them, so they did me a deal. I also told them I am getting 2 other quotes and they won't see me again unless they are the cheapest so they better give their best price straight up. They are also sending off my car, on the back of a truck not driven, to get my APS II kit prior to me picking it up in Feb.They are the best guys I have ever dealt with and the T will be my fifth new car. tenth all up.I can give you the dealer and salesman name if you are interested? it is in sydney area. I ordered my new Mercury Silver auto XR6T with premium sound on 7th January, and got a call from the dealer today to advise it will be delivered to me tomorrow!!! Woo hoo. I didn't specify 2004 build/compliance because I didn't want to wait any longer than necessary to get into my new toy, but was thrilled to hear from the dealer today that it is indeed a 2004!! Got the whole package for <$45k.Guess who won't be sleeping tonight!!!
