Hey

So this is what I ended up with. Problem is, I dont think something is right...

(In case this is a stupid question, don't worry, I wasn't planning to fit these myself)

I'm meant to have the PBR BA premium brakes, that take 325mm discs, matching qfm a1m pads, and matching t3 4000. I saw the calipers on a BA before the wrecker removed them, so if they are wrong, I have no idea what they are!

* The pads are bigger than the existing ones in the calipers, I dont see how they could possibly fit.

* The discs are fatter than the caliper spacing (the calipers look partly closed, but I'm not sure what they are meant to look like).

Whats part is wrong, or am I missing something? Thanks.

Not sure what those calipers are but they arnt BA to take a 7599 pad. Discs are correct. Pads are correct.

They are a C4 caliper. They can fit BA with the right bracket

The fit looks like this to suit BA

They look like AU series Tickford upgrade calipers. (c4 corvette)

No reason they shouldn't work on the front of a b series considering the front end is essentially the same AU to BF

Ahhhh, wonderful. Wrong calipers.

Thanks

I've already got the correct pads and discs, so I'll take the calipers back...

The discs to suit those calipers are 329mm and 28mm thick. Take them back and get the correct calipers. The discs you have are 325mm x 32mm

The wrecker is resisting a bit, saying if they were AU ones they would have been worth more, he wouldn't have sold them too me, and from his point of view, they did come off a BA, I saw them on there. However he will let me swap them so all is good.

Has someone got a pic of exactly what the BA Premiums look like? Dont want to end up with something weird!

Not the best pic. They also come in black.

Did you get the discs off him. I bet the discs on the car your calipers came of weren't 325 x 32

See post 11. Yellow calipers (painted). The C5 C6 calipers have a small cutout top centre. The STD BA BF FG PBR calipers dont have this.

Cool, that's what I expected to see, thanks.

Unfortunately I didn't take the discs, I had no intention of using them. Lesson learnt.

Tell the wrecker you are doing him a favour as he needs those calipers to sell with the 329mm discs on the BA. They are made to suit AU2 and AU3 but will fit BA BF FG. Tell him you want a discount for being f*cked around. What did you pay for the calipers $100 each?
