TMS here in Townsville do allot of lumpy Expensive Daewoo sh*t so I go there when I need my fix!

For the people that know this one-

Ohhh, On I burn,
Fuel is pumping engines,
Burning hard, loose & clean

And I burn,
Turning my direction,
Quench my thirst with gasoline

So gimme fuel,
Gimme fire,
Gimme that which I desire,

Yeah!

hey guys just reading through this, thought that there wasnt something regarding the cams that hadnt been mentioned. Im interesting in hearing what grinds KPM tested. My understanding is there isnt much room for changes in lift due to close piston to valve clearance. The major limiting factor was ford australian removing the VVTi (variable valve timing) from the coyote. (so ive read). The US version NA have benefited heaps from cam upgrades. they have stage 3-4 cams seeing 500rwhp with just an intake. beauty about these cams is the valve springs and valve train dont require any upgrading except for phaser restrictors that prevent valve overlap from the VVTi. As it stands to put any serious cams in our miami's you either need VVTi or fly cut pistons. I find it difficult to believe that decent gains cant be found, although ford did a very good job with the standard cam profile it does as KPM said come down to a cost versus gain ratio and what a customer is prepared to pay. It will be interesting when these mustangs get here in 2 years. with the NA 5.0litres and VVTi. Personally if all goes well ill be going a decent forged bottom end with enough clearance to include some dirty big cams. seen as the engine is out in pieces might as well chuck em in. The cams can be sourced from the USA for around the $1600 USD. theres plenty of research out there to read up on. the yanks have been camming their coyotes since late 2011 with awesome results. plenty of supercharged variants with big cams. look into mustang forums. one of em did a standard bottom end, stage 3 cnc heads and cam, single turbo and made over 1,000rwhp. theres another one doing the rounds at the moment with a single 76mm precision turbo making 970rwhp with dead stock internals.

I have purchased a set of stage2 coyote cams from the US to put into our 315GS Ute. I will report the results once tested and tuned once our new dyno test cell is finished and will post some dyno graphs.
