This morning the gauge was working fine, the arvo again saw the needle not moving. Also, in some conditions I see the slightest hint of a reading (eg highway cruise) & sometimes I don't. Anyone got an idea? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/87760-boost-gauge-on-the-blink/ Share on other sites

Your leaning toward the actuator? Why?-Is the car acting like sh*t when gauge isn't working or not?-Do you have your foot down and it's boosting hard or is it slow and feels sluggish?-is the car idling high?-how long has it been doing this? And who put the gauge in? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/87760-boost-gauge-on-the-blink/#findComment-1461253 Share on other sites

I'm not noticing any corralation between the gauge issues & performance. Any performance issues I'm putting down to heat & no spool/wrong gearIdles high at times. I'm putting it down to a slightly low battery or something of a like.Gauge is stock on the F6. No mods to the car at allrestart the car & the gauge might still not be working, next day it'll be working fine. There's also the issues where it's not reading an absolute zero value durring idle/full vac. Tap the gauge pod hard & it sort of rights itself. I'm starting to lean towards a faulty gauge? Depending where the gauge is fed from check all the pipes in the area. I don't have an F6 but I've got mine fed from the blow off valve area and it's clamped off to reduce leakage.Tapping it and having it work sometimes could mean it's leaking at the back of the gauge or it's just had it.If there's no mechanical/boost issues apart from idle which can be a plethora of things I'd start with the gauge.
