I run the Scat H beam and J E piston combo, the J E have the same skirt size as oem pistons, as for "rattling" sounds sort of .But it is more of a "sewing machine"sound that is heard, due to ring clearances made so you can run the high boost and allow for the forgie to swell slightly. fortunetly you dont hear these sounds as much in a forged 355 stroker. Dont look past using ford guides and chains, nothing wrong with them. Seen alloy chain guides, but I'd rather have nylon wearing off(if any)in my new motor as opposed to metal. At the end of the day you have to think about what you want out of the car, you can build these motors reasonably priced by any motor engine builder/machinist with experience, they are only a modern straight six,

yeah I run scat stroker kit in my 347, also with JE pistons, im pushing just under 370rwkw atm in my T, not looking for much more than 400rwkw.. just piece of mind and a solid combination I guess.. these cars seem to have alot of niggles, always something that's not right.. but hey.. that's cars and the headaches we endure for that extra hp..
