They will be using my car for a week to develop their kit, I am not sure what is so hard to understand about this?  (It really is quite a simple concept).

No CnC, I did not miss the point. I find it amazing after 20 years of designing and manufacturing intercooler systems that an in-house engineering vehicle is not necessary to design, lab-test, field-test and produce a world-class intercooler system - which the XR6T deserves.

Perhaps this is why Australia's aftermarket is flooded with some very ordinary products. The fact that a company sells other intercoolers is irrelevant. You can't adequately develop an intercooler system in one week and expect perfection - particularly with the XR6T, which has unique intercooler requirements.

It took APS over 6 months of design and testing - many different intercooler cores, end tank designs and ducting configurations to arrive at the optimum intercooler solution - and we have six full time engineering staff and 3 XR6T Falcon engineering vehicles at our disposal.

So, again, I find it difficult to understand how any person could design, lab-test, field-test, perform all the hot/cold weather testing etc by borrowing a car for one week. Not even the Lord himself could accomplish this in seven days. :smilielol:

The quality and performance of a product is directly proportional to the engineering effort behind the product - and it takes more than seven days..........

Hello Peter,

Yes, this is Kevin...Ex owner of Hyperflow...I have nothing to do with that company now

Kevin

Hey Kev,

Are you still taking sales calls now that you have nothing to do with that company? Your name and mobile number are listed as the primary contact on the web site.

I hope that you're not telling porky pies - and having to wear out the carpet to and from the confessional

Hey Pete,

says here that with intercooling bigger is better

http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/wrx/my01.../dr650_fmic.htm

but here you write:

"Be careful as bigger is not always better, we went as big as we dared (will support 650 horse power) any bigger and say goodbye to any control of the turbo pressure. Just trying to save you a lot of grief and wasted time."

OzWRX

OzWRX how can you even think of comparing advice pertaining to a WRX and advice targeted at a XR6T? If you want to do this, my advice to you would be to get 2 more cylinders! Surely if you are from the industry you would know as I do(with my limited mechanical knowledge) that different things work on different cars. Guess this is why we have "specialists" for different cars, and parts that are 'model specific' eh. Peter is here clearly giving expert advice on the XR6T not the rex! :ta: Peter.

Oh and by the way, I've hammered my T and it hasn't broken either!:censored:
