Hi,

looking at running 2 x 12 in the boot with a amp and looking at the firewall for the power cables there is stuff all space and on the interior you have the carpet sound deading foam and other crap to get through. Now instead of pulling it all out and assesing I thought I would find out of you all on where you guys run/ideas on laying the cables.

The car is a 2011 XR6Turbo with Leather and cough…..Premium icc.

any assistance would be appreciated.

Pull off the inner liner of the drivers side front wheel, in the top corner under the windscreen is a grommet with comes out at the top of the drivers side kick panel. you can get you cable to this area as there is a opening near the battery - just below the earth point.

Cable tie your power wire to the loom already in place and make sure to seal up the hole in the grommet with silicone.

Hi,

I'm upgrading my system in the near future and it will be the first time that I've put an amp in, so I'm not sure where the 4 gauge wire is going to fit. Any one got advice on how to route the power cable to the boot? Read the above post for access into the cabin. But once in the cabin should it go under the scuff trim beside the door, or is it possible to get it more central in the car? Or is there any need to get it that deep in the car?

I'm also keen on having the amp on the underside of the boot lid. Any one got advice on amp placement?
