BTW, the rule they broke wasn't the fact that they changed the sensor - it was the fact that RBR decided to run a fuel flow correction model of their own thinking rather than the one supplied by the FIA, this is allowed in the rules but only if they are instructed by the FIA stewards to do so.

Technicalities are a PITA but they are the rules and people get paid lots of money to know the rules in these sports... Shame it affected our home town hero though!

Sound is disappointing compared to the old cars, but like everything new I'm sure we'll get used to it, being at the track there was a noticeable difference in noise from practice to quali and then during the race also. Once they get some good data on fuel usage I'd say they will turn the wick up a bit and we will hear a bit more.

They'll never rev to 18k. Max RPM is 15k.

Bummer, an extra 2500 rpm won't do much for the sound.

I still think it'll be a cracker year as there are so many unknowns and cant wait for them to start pushing these new power plants.

Even though Merc are leading I'm sure its going to get alot closer in the next couple of races.
