If the pump is dying from anything that could be called "normal" driving then the issue isn't with the driver - it's the pump.

If they keep dying then they'll need to look further afield - to what's causing it to fail.

get more power and steer with the rear not the front less wear on the steering. maybe

Mine has made a slight dry bearing type noise until warm which I thought was the idler until I replaced that. On the weekend after a big drive it made a louder again rotational type noise until warmed up. Checked it again this afternoon to confirm and definitely coming from the pump. Track day coming on Father's Day at Lakeside so think I'll swap it out. Don't think it's worth rebuilding them by the looks. Genuine on ebay look to be around $200.

get a under drive to slow the pump down .that's what we used to do so that the alternators lasted longer on the speedway cars
