This noise is getting louder, still hits 11psi sometimes which is about right for an fg so no leaks...got me stumped but it seemed to start after I put the earls oil line in. Which I had dismissed as a cause but I dunno....to much oil pressure at the turbo possibly? Obviously if this was an issue with this kit it would be widely known. Which is exactly why I dismissed it as a cause.

So far ive been unsuccessful in getting any audio, just lots of wind as its most noticeable under load, like going up a hill at say 1/4 throttle around 2500rpm.

Did ya take out that pissy little filter out of the fitting that screws into the block of the part you retain when fitting the earls kit?

Does your earls fitting have a smaller orifice bit in that union fitting that screws into the turbo?

Have ya had a real close look at the compressor side fins for any slight bend or is there much shaft play?

Have ya tried pulling out or blocking the BOV?

So just to close out this thread, I was re gapping the plugs today and noticed the PCV valve was a bit ordinary. I could pretty easily blow through it.

So I run out grab a metal replacement, get everything back together and go for a drive. Noise gone! I guess it was just screaming like a bitch cause it was passing. Car feels better to but that could be the plugs, I don't imagine a great deal of volume could flow through that small tube and it's not as if the old valve was free flowing.

that's my old car in the video (I sold it on, and then all these video's were made by the bloke that took it off my hands) and yes it had a bent blade from dropping the turbo during an attempted port and flapper mod I was doing when I was replacing the engine after I blew the first motor up.

But, to be honest it was an 'educated' guess as it didn't make the noise pre dropping, but made the noise after. and we thought if it was a bent sheft it woulf have self destructed, and there was little to no play in the shaft.

My advice is take it to a reputable tuner and spend a couple of hundred having them sus it out. If it needs replacing, good and well, that's better than it going ka-boom!
