Hey Guys,

I've recently come across a problem with having no boost. Gauge says I have good VAC but when I put my foot down it hits 0 on the gauge and stays there. When this is happening all that can be heard is an air rushing noise.

I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems? and where the best place to start would be?

Cheers

Sounds like one of the hoses has blown off.

Check all the cooler hoses etc from the turbo to the throttle body.

Best place to start is the turbo. Check you have one

...and go from there by checking pipe connections as mentioned :) Maybe wastegate is stuck wide open? Not sure if you'd see any boost or not in that case. Does the turbo spin OK by hand?

Seriously thou, probably a hose off like others have said. I had it happen a few times and funny thing was is that I had one very powerful 450hp leaf blower.

I've just pulled the boost solenoid off. Is there only 2 hoses that run to this? There is a port for another hose but I can't find anything loose.

Turbo spins ok by hand.

You could have had a crap batch of fuel, and the computer puts itself into safe mode, and can therefore run with no boost.

I have had this issue on a few of my turbo cars over the years.

If all your cooler pipe work, and hoses look okay, try taking the negative off the battery for 30 seconds, put your foot on the brake pedal to drain the current, then re-connect.

I've done this before, and straight away car was running like new again.
