Which Intake Is Better?

I have a bf xr6t with 330rwkw.

It had a growler intake on it but I've swapped it back to my standard air box with 2nd typhoon lower snorkel.

Doesn't seem to make any difference? Is the f6 intake from the bf as good as the grower system?

Is one intake better than the other??

F6 intake thingo and stock crossover can get you close to 400rwkw I think? Not as cool though.

I did this to mine and bought an F6 snorkel from ebay I think, works great :)

When I fitted that mine was stock aside from K&N filter. Made a tiny tiny difference, easily attributable to placebo effect or possibly a cooler night. Traction control lit up under WOT in 2nd where it never had before. Could also be tyres wearing down or dusty road.

So in short, minimal difference. Improving airflow might improve economy a few % too though.

cheers for that, helps a lot as I was looking at doing my second intake soon.

do think there would be a bigger difference if you just cut a bigger hole out of the air box instead of 2nd snorkel?

seen that done before some where on the forum

It does make a difference plus you get a Nice little induction noise to boot.

The stock crossover has proven to run 500+ rwkw so unless you wanna spend 1k on some noise and go a turboside, the little cutout in the standard box works a treat. :)

There you go, 500+. I love my crossover.

Also, I get decent induction noise just from having the F6 thing and no pipe in the factory position. I asked about hot engine air affecting the car but XFT said it wouldn't be a problem. I think having the hard edge left on the stock snorkle fitting makes it sound as raspy as it does. Cheap and fun!
