hulk xr6t Member 160 Member For: 17y 3m 7d Posted 21/02/14 11:55 AM Share Posted 21/02/14 11:55 AM I have a bf xr6t with 330rwkw.It had a growler intake on it but I've swapped it back to my standard air box with 2nd typhoon lower snorkel.Doesn't seem to make any difference? Is the f6 intake from the bf as good as the grower system? Is one intake better than the other??

Not as cool though.I did this to mine and bought an F6 snorkel from ebay I think, works great

Made a tiny tiny difference, easily attributable to placebo effect or possibly a cooler night. Traction control lit up under WOT in 2nd where it never had before. Could also be tyres wearing down or dusty road.So in short, minimal difference. Improving airflow might improve economy a few % too though.

I love my crossover. Also, I get decent induction noise just from having the F6 thing and no pipe in the factory position. I asked about hot engine air affecting the car but XFT said it wouldn't be a problem. I think having the hard edge left on the stock snorkle fitting makes it sound as raspy as it does. Cheap and fun!
