Hi,

5252 Motorsports have done ViPEC V88 installs to the Coyote engines, with full VVT control on inlet and exhaust camshafts.

The Ghost Cams that they refer to in the above videos, is actually better known as CYCLIC IDLE, ( controlled cylinder misfiring basically).

This is a feature that ViPEC has had for many years.

If you go to YOU TUBE and search ViPEC CYCLIC IDLE there are plenty of clips of cyclic idle being used, you can make a complete stock engine sound like it has large duration tight lobe centre line camshafts fitted to it.

If you go to the ViPEC website and click on the NEWS section, there used to be a story by 5252, I think it was titled " Who said VVT was for emissions only" or something like that.

It is the story about the Coyote install.

The new I SERIES ViPEC has fully configurable CANBUS control for making factory dashes etc work, also has OBD2 protocol so it can be used with iPHONES, iPADS

and ANDROID devices with REV or TORQUE apps etc .

Regards

Dave.

Hi,

Installing an ECU such as the i88 is time consuming.

I have fitted V88 to both BA XR6T and BA XR8 with a Harrop supercharger..

Both cars still run the DBW which is controlled by the ViPEC directly, no extra DBW Modules or interfaces required.

These cars took around 4 days each to complete, installation and tuning.

I have not done a Coyote so I don't know how long this would take.

You need to search for a ViPEC dealer, installer near you.

Regards

Dave.

Thanks a lot really good information.

5 grand would be about my limit. Anything over that wouldn't really be worth it just for sound. So I guess buying the unit and 3 or 4 days labour would be around that mark. Is there any power to be gained playing around with vct
