Id 1000s

And your better of going full turbo back straight up imo

You can get 4inch x force dump and cat into 3 1/2 cat back for a little under a grand if you shop around

Mick's posted in the thread, so will defer to him, but from what I understand the standard pipe is good up to the limit of the small turbo - except for the cat.

Injectors and cat with a tune (maybe opening the airbox to help it breath better at both ends) sounds like a good stage to be at for a while/first round.

Make sure you speak to your tuner - they may suggest a preferred line of attack or think the cat overkill for this stage.

Again though - the pipes might be an issue and one of the first things replaced.

Aren't the IC pipes prone to "pop"

And the reason I say full zorst is because eventually you'll go hunting for more power and you won't have to change everything all over again

Yeah - those were the pipes I meant.

Coming from the question of the "cheapest" possible then (other than tune only) I'd probably look at pipes, injectors and tune (drilling a hole in bottom of airbox gets suggested often too)

Add in an inline turbo filter for "cheap" insurance.

If I couldn't afford those two safety feature (pipes and filter) then I'd probably stay stock rather than risk damage. It's not like the car is a pig as it is now.

Mods is one thing I wouldn't be stingy on

I got caught in that trap with my original aftermarket intercooler ended up costing me a grand plus to fix my mistake

Once I upgrade to a G6 this is how I'll be going about it

PWR hear exchanger

IC kit

CAI

Injectors

full exhaust

Surge tank

Tail shaft

that way I can just bolt on a 6235 when I'm ready !!

But like mcmatty has said cheap isn't always a good way to go.....use quality gear!

6235 would be killer bud

I'm going a gt3540 of an f6 with an 11 blade billet wheel

Close response of the stock turbo but will get me close to 400 on 98

I'm keeping my single pegger and tailshaft stock as I am abit of a chicken with launches and I use crappy tyres so my driveline should be ok for a while

My zf needs a rebuild anyway so it doesn't really bother me lol

After all the stories about milkshakes and tail shafts I think they are the first two things that will be getting done haha....

I was originally looking at getting a gtx3576r I know someone on here was running one? But thought why not push for 450kw+ lol..
