Technically if you have straightened the rod and not adjusted the length then yes the boost would most likely be less at cracking pressure due to less preload.

I have a 12psi actuator and with 1/2 hole it cracked spot on 12psi.

So by rights you should have less boost, but by sound you have more. Unless your intake has changed to allow more noise out which you wouldn't otherwise hear.

well the repairs all come about from the previous owners dodgy pod filter mod..! (see my other post "chux superwipe").. I did however remove his PVC extension from inside airbox as it had gaps all around..(and basically fell out allowing the chux to be sucked through) and bought new pvc pipe, a 22 degree joiner and a straight joiner and done a proper sealed job, with pvc cement, and silicon btwn pvc and airbox extension, backed with a screw on underside, the 22degree joiner so K&N pod angles nicely inside airbox, then straight joiner on end so clamp on pod doesnt squash pvc pipe..

so I would say its a much more sealed, solid job with no foreign objects.. lol.. but that is the only change to intake other than making sure all T-clamps were sealing..

It also depends on what the setting was for the tune. If it cracks at a few pound more than what it was tuned for then you could run in to problems. I would get the tune checked just to be safe. Your new wheel could also be more efficient and some touch ups may be needed.
