Latest update:

Used my tow bar Sunday night.

Drove down a (wrong) dirt road on my way to a mates place and found a dead end. 3 point turn on the flooded "footpath" managed to find the hidden ditch. Right hand front wheel got stuck on the pipe and the rears found the grass on the other side - no way I was going to be able to reverse out of this one.

Only option was forward, towards the mud and hope for a bit of grip to let me circle back onto the road.

Only option didn't work.

Got to use my towbar when the mate I was headed to visit turned up in his Terry to drag me out.

Some of the noises, knocks and bumps (both on the initial ditch find and during the pulling me out of the mud) just made me cringe :S

Was so pissed off with the whole episode I didn't even have a look.

Handed over the mud covered, no longer "favorite" to the boys at Pitlane this arvo for tomorrow's 45k, tranny cooler and turbo side fitment with a refresh on the dyno with the warning of "got bogged, dunno, didn't look - sounded bad"

Got a call from Andrew tonight after he put it on the hoist for the service tomorrow - I'd managed to move the radiator, intercooler and puncture the aircon.

Going to be an expensive one, but I knew it in my heart on Sunday - I feel bad for not cleaning up the biatch before dropping it off. I honestly didn't want to even look at her

That said - it's spring now, weather seems to have turned and I have a sprightly steed on the road again in the next few days - she might start to work her way back into the "good books"

(have put in a request to see what's needed to take the LPG to the "next level")

If you "moved" all that stuff, make sure you haven't bent anything else please.

If ya gunna take the gas system up to the next level then I suggest the BW turbo that a bloke that me and Biz met the other night has on a ute.......... wow just,,,,,,,,, wow

Yep - did a good hit on the drainage pipe

Dropped in to see the mess I'd done while the car was on the hoist.

Huge scrapes down the sump and a decent chunk taken out of the cross-member.

Movement at the front was minimal and didn't bend anything - was just the reduced clearances of the bigger intercooler that caused things to rub - one of those was the aircon compressor. It didn't like being rubbed :(

Car's back now and the "feel better" burnout didn't happen... yet

Not only did I send the car to Mick filthy, mud covered and without looking underneath it. I also sent it there with f*ck all fuel

edit: they were very polite about it - but it was worse than going to a dentist without brushing your teeth

I've bashed out a section on my gearbox mount on a ground latch for an automatic gate so I know the feeling :)

I knew I was stuck and that it was ugly

Didn't get a chance to inspect before the booked in time - and was embarrassed about being bogged
