my lh engine mount is leaking oil.. I take it they are hydraulic.. are they a sealed unit.. is it a replacement job.. how much they cost.. they look to be in a c*nt of a spot..!!

They are hydraulic, if the lh is leaking there's a fair chance you'll need to replace the turbo side as well.

They range from $80ea for non genuine (avoid) up to $300ea for genuine from Ford. I have picked them up around the $120ea if you shop around. Lh is easy, you can feed a long email extension down through the intake manifold to release the top nut. 19mm from memory. And the release the crossmember bolts. You then need to lift the engine to remove. Turbo side is much the same but if the heat shield is intact you'll (wait for it) need to remove the turbo to replace the Mount.

FYI if your mounts are both stuffed it won't be helping your traction issues.

looked at receipts I got with car and bruce heinrich changed lh engine mount august/sep 2013 when it had its last tune...

johno must be right.. its comin from the lh headlight..!!! lmfao..

Don't now if you've done this yet, but I have never had to remove the turbo to get at the RH side engine mount - and I've been through a few! Although it is a real PITA to get to.

And I am running a BF.

Any tips or tricks on how to remove the RH side engine mount without removing the turbo? I need to do this and had a look at it today, there is a heat shield on top of the mount under the turbo and it doesn't look like you can't remove even this shield without taking the turbo off...
