If I am not mislead the APS xr6t is now the fastest road car ever tested in Australia by a leading motoring magazine.

I assume the test was part of Motor's annual top speed test article so that is an outstanding result. Congrats!

I know the guys at Corsa Special Vehicles were keen to have their weapons tested after just missing out last year. Be interesting to read if they did run, and what the reactions were!

Hey thanks for your post, the fastest vehicle previously was a modified R 34 GTR nissan with about 340 kw at the treads which ran a 306 kph top speed at the identical venue, the mighty xr6t is keeping them all on their toes.

wow. 307km/h. I remember reading the article last year (forgot if it was motor or wheels) when the GTR won with 306km/h. The owner actually got that speed, because the test driver didn't want to thrash the thing to get a high speed (Test driver only got in the 280's). wow. I can't wait for the article and I am sure that the cover of the mag will have "307km/h Xr6 Turbo". Wow what other cars. The usual Porsche, HSV Crummydores etc I suspect. wow yet again.

Anyways, just a simple question. How did the test driver find the car at that speed. Stable or a worry (dreams of driving an modified XR6T in Germany on the autobahns), or do I just have to wait for the article, which may end up being atleast 50% as bad as the wait for my T was....

Coool 307 eh...very well done! :gooff:

Ok change of plans.... all the money everybody has sent me, for the group buy of boost gauges will now be put towards my APS Phase III kit. :finger:

Peter did the car have modified suspension to match?

Krash I notice that the next wheels mag will be testing the XR6T in europe with some european car mags.

Now all we need to do is get APS to form a joint venture with Ford where they may consider, possibly, one day, perhaps, mabey in the future producing such a car for sale from Ford dealers for over $200k then you can use the prototypes to win the next few Bathurst 24hr races...

Well done Pete!! Damn, you guys have really freakin done it this time.

I take my hat off to you.....and can't wait to drive my car from your workshop at the end of Feb - in FULL PHASE III specs.

400KW Pete, not 385kw...that's the brief.

Power is so addictive.....

Congrats to all of you at APS

I cant say too much now other than the driver had no idea the car would go any where near 300KPH, I think his clacker might have been pulsating a little quicker than normal.
