Years ago on my old b series sedan I went from a pw stage 1 to a rapid stage 3... Big mistake there, have gone pw ever since and will not buy anything else.

Hey Kev, good on ya for standing by your product so strongly. I have a Euro tube n fin im about to fab up, core was from boys at Hypertune. You know the type they use im sure. Will see what sort of data I can get from it on dyno. Im just being honest mate, I havent ever seen a bar n plate exchange thermal energy more effeciently than a lighter weight tube n fin. With that being said im open to what ever performs better and if I see it with my own eyes, im converted lol. Hope to get it built soon, will let you know how it performs.

Kind regards Jon

Don't ignore the data....one cooler is not slightly better than the other...it's a total smack down...I knew what the result of this back to back test would be before it happened....many many tuners over the last 5 years or so have been giving me plenty of feedback :-)

If you are on the fence about which cooler to buy...buy the tube and fin....I will send you my product at no cost...have your tuner back to back the two.....if the tube and fin performs better send my product back and I will pay for the tube and fin product....ask the tube and fin fella if he will offer the same guarantee.

Kev

as always kev a great product and also willing to provide evidence that your product is up to the task. pw #1

Newb question, but would the wrong intercooler for the application have reverse results?

EG - sct911 as posted above running a stage 2 or a 1000bhp cooler when all he really needs is a stage 1? and getting a stage 3 to fix it not help?

I guess what I'm asking is could too big an intercooler for the airflow your engine is breathing mean it heats up (too long in the box or something - doesn't move through quick enough and ends up storing heat)?
