Consistency is the key

The odd quater mile run isn't a true testament of a coolers performance

Day in day out driving is where they live and have to "work"

I agree with this jimmi... im even thinking about putting a stock fg xr6 t intercooler back in mine for a day , I reckon u can run a ten with stock cooler . lol ... once you do some circuit work,, then you will see which coolers are the sh*t ones

and every single one of my 10 secn passes ( 6 passes in 1 hour 45 min ) ,, the outside temp was well over 30 degree,s ,, I would love to think my stepped is doing a sh*t job, yet still capable of mid 10,s in that heat lol

Hi guys, got a couple of questions and to save making new thread thought id ask in here.

I'm ready to buy an intercooler for my fg xr6t and am tossing up between the Pw stage 3 and plasmaman 1000hp. This thread didn't really help my decision lol!

I'm already running Pw intake and batt relo and will probs run Pw fuel system when I get there.

My questions are.

1: has anyone had trouble with insurance or rwc with Pw 3 due to the cutting? (from what I've read and the dimensions the plaz doesn't need as much)

2: this car is also my daily so is there an advantage of one over the other for daily driving?

3: can the stock cooler be put back in with either of these two or do you need to cut supports off?

Thanks beau

You will need to do almost the same cutting for plaz 1000 and pw3 so neither technically will pass a rwc.

Depends on what power you are going for but <450rwkw there should be no noticeable difference between them. Over 450 I'd go the PW3.

At the end of the day it comes down to your preference, I'm sure you've read through all the arguments from either side in this thread.

Personally, if all your other gear is PW, I'd stay with them.

Even if you get the stage 1 as Rednose said which involves no cutting.
