When you compress air(or any gas) , it gets hot.

The more you compress it the hotter it will get.

When you decompress air it will get colder.

on a track day a few months ago with 6 or so other forum guys, my stock FG F6 cooler "cold side" piping felt colder than all of the other coolers there.... I am only running 12psi Vs 15-20psi of some of the other guys.... is it just that the boost=heat is relative? all of us where WOT (well, most, some of the guys cant due to too much power on a short track). Next time I am taking my Fluke heat gun and testing this theory.... but until then im still a believer in that - unless you want max KW at all times you dont need a massive cooler for 95% of driving.....

What track was it?

Not really a track per say, rather a skid pan with cones along the way to for a track.

MC motorsport has more info on their web page.

Can someone recommend a cooler upgrade suitable for no more than 400rwkw without cutting in a BF F6 ute? Currently running stock and in regional SA so its quite warm for 4/5 months of the year.
