I have read most modification threads but what I want to know is how much power can the BA engine and transmission run daily safely before a rebuild on either components and how much it will cost... I am chasing 300rwkw running abt 15 psi boost max... Anyone got their story to share?Thinking your brave doing that. Don't know much about their turbos but valve springs is the first thing that'll let go, they let the eng rev out more to gain the power. Bottom ends on a BA aren't as good either as a BF2 or a F6. Fuel may be a limitation so a small upgrade to injectors is probably good. Inductions on the B series are average so getting a good cooler & pipework is a plus.I hear a lot of ppl running as standard mods a 12lb actuator ported wastegate, overhauled induction, big fuel system & a dump/cat combo getting mid 300's without too much issue. In short though, if your going to put something like 5 times the boost in without upping the rest of the components, running 98, just keep a bucket in the back of the car to pick up engine parts you drop on the road. Not saying putting that much boost in is bad, but its bad

I think I will start with the valve springs and a capa cooler... Then start thinking of where I want to go from there... As in Stage 2.1 PW cooler... Dump & cat...1000cc Injectors... Surge tank for e85... trans rebuild... And engine rebuild when it goes bang... In those order...

It doesn't matter the fuel, it'll be the internals that will be the issue going for numbers first

It will give me the option to chase 400rwkw if I choose to down the track...

Different kettle of fish.Nah bud, mines a BA Mk2 so still plasticine rods in it. Definatly not bf.Mate if you plannin on goin bigger later then you might as well get the parts that will support it now, saves buying twice and when the time comes one less thing to buy.

That & idle quality might go to sh*t if the pulse rate is too short for what your trying to do. Big freakn injectors, all I'm sayn'.Better to build the system in stages of performance to your tuners suggestion than to oversize some parts too early.
