Hi guys new to the forums, from QLD.

Looking at buying a G6ET soon 09 90,000ks for 22k (have done a bit of research and this seems to be a pretty decent price)

Few questions

How much does it cost for the 100k service, keep in mind it has full service and log book history all up to date?

Also I'm aiming to get around 350rwkw, I've seen a lot of threads that the basics get you around 300rwkw, but haven't several many prices. How much does it take to get the basics done to achieve to 300+ mark

It seems like mods to be done on these cars are a lot cheaper to jap cars.

My previous car was a 500rwhp supra, will be nice to get into something more smooth.

Thanks

Nick

100km service. Expect about $450 genuine ford ZF oil for the auto, $200 for synthetic engine oil and filter, and $150 for synthetic LS oil, $70 for brake fluid flush, $100 for coolant flush 70 for power steering.

I have never had it done before but expect those prices IMO.

If you need help doing the service look over this site and you'll find all the info. I also have the BA workshop manual on CD. But it covers the ZF 6 speed auto. And allot of the sh*t is the same between BA and Fg. Except wiring diagrams,

Thanks heaps for the replies, don't worry ill definitely be getting one, looking at buying interstate now, have found a cheap car transporter (around $600 for a 12 hour distance) company is ceva, any one dealt with these people?

I'll stick to trying for 300rwkw then do the turbo conversion a little down the track. Most likely service the vehicle myself and I'll research the forums if I need help

Thanks guys

Cost to get 300rwkw is about $3000 for Injectors, Tune and Highflow Cat. To help with airflow the Factory Airbox should be modified to flow by making a 4" hole on the bottom right or you can buy Custom intakes from $200 to $600.

Don't give the car too much gas when your getting used to it, you will find with those factory tyres it will fling sideways pretty easily, so if your aim is to make more power you need to upgrade the Tyres.

These cars drive nice, really nice. If you liked the low down power of your stock sequential supra twins you will like the way the big turbo motor on the FG Turbo Drives.

That's good news mate now to save money fly where ever it is and drive it back surely plain ticket plus petrol would cost you $600.

Heard some shocking stories about car movers. If you do use one ill make sure its enclosed
