You talk as though the GT's are a complete other car, underneath the GT would be made from the same electronic components as the XR6T, and the rest of the BA range for that matter.

Your exactly right alxrt, even the sound system is the same. What I was trying to point out is that many of the components are new release across the entire BA range, and many BAs seem to have little glitches which are rectified quickly and without any further problem, then there is the occasional car that just seems to be riddled with problems that are intermittent and not so readily rectified. If you get one of those cars you need to make a choice between patience, persistance, and/or your sanity.

And as for my impression of the T, I already have a deposit paid for a series 2, just gotta wait till November. Love the cars, but a bad one can drive you loopo.:sick:

Cool, I know what you mean, it would drive you crazy. :spit:

It amazes me how one car can go all so wrong! I think they throw all the dodgy bits in the corner and when there's enough there they slap a car together and sell it to some poor ba$tard!

Hey!

It's this kind of cynicisim that's ruining the world!

Ford got right on to the brake shudder issue, just look at how many people are so happy with the instant fix provided! and look at the diff! why, hardly 50% of the cars are suffering driveline shunt! and the 5th gear crunch, jeez! you sound like someone who expects everything to work as its supposed to or something....hey what do you expect for $45,000?......... ;)

perhaps for should offer a version for $60,000, " Just like the cheaper one, except everything works as it's supposed to"

(Just a bit of fun guys...Please don't lynch me :pics: )

As per the last poll you posted.......Noticalble mostly on AUX (with AND without something connected), but can be heard sometimes on quiet parts of CD's and the AM seems affected by interferance when motor is running. Already had a swag of work done, inc replace alternator.

I have this problem on AUX since DEC 2002. FORD have still not come up with a fix. I was told at the time there was another car in Melbourne that Ford had been working on to resolve this problem. My AUX is used for the DVD player and it is totally useless. The whine is so bad that I cannot use this function at all.

At one stage I did some testing of my own and discovered that the noise is comming through the the "battery 2" line. If a filter is placed in this line the problem goes away.

I have been told by 2 dealers that Ford must approve the "MOD" before it can be utilised.

I am very pissed off this very small problem. :censored:
