Thought I'd finally share what I've done to my car in the past 12 months.

Engine

Built by Dion at Dyno-Mite Performance

JE Pistons

Argo rods

Billet oil pump gears

HD Timing chain and tensioner

Strengthened and ballanced standard crank

Head ported and polished

Dyno-Mite custom cams

ARP 12mm head studs with Dyno-Mite head stud plates.

Bolt ons

Process West;

  • Battery relocation
  • 4" Cold air intake
  • Stage 4 Intercooler
  • Twin 044 Surge tank

GTX3582R Internally gated with Turbosmart actuator on stock manifold

ID2000 injectors

FPR1200

C.E.S. 4" Exhaust

Trans

Turbo400 built by Andrew at Preston Automatics

Fully manualized with Quicksilver reverse pattern shifter modified to look factory manual 6 speed in the cabin

Transbraked

Custom one piece tail shaft with trans tunnel loop at the front uni

Rear end

Trutrac diff centre with 3.73 gears

Drive Shaft Shop 1400hp CV shafts

Wholesale Suspension adjustable upper control arms

Currently makes 460kw @ 6900rpm on E85 and ran a P.B. of 10.19 @ 135mph at Calder in November

The plan is to run a 9.999 or better with the current setup and then the GTX4202R goes on.

Seems somewhat like the rally car gearboxes...if I was building a racer that would definitely be the way I'd go. Well played sir, well played!

Thanks dowen but it's not the same as a rally car, the style of shifting is similar though.

This is an automatic transmision is from the 60's/70's that has been rebuilt to handle 1500hp and adapted to fit behind the barra :)

Haha yeah, I just meant in terms of shift pattern. I read above about it being an auto box. Looks like you've put in a whole lot of effort, good to see :-)
