Beotches!

Need some advice on a conversion I am strongly considering. Pulling the auto box out of my BA, and installing a T56.

So far I know ill need:

T56

crutch

flywheel

tailshaft mods

manual pedal box, shifter, shifter boot, surround, knob (lol)

Im assuming ill need a manual x member?

My main concern is wiring - I think ill need a reverse lockout wiring switch wired in somehow? And what about cruise control switches on the clutch pedal? Is there a harness I can buy for reverse and cruise?

Also, can I just call my tuner up, and get him to organise a tune with manual codes in it, than I can flash into my car once the T56 is installed?

Cheers everyone for your help.

Yes and Trans output Yoke

Wiring is quite easy. Mal usually supplies his kit with the solenoid earthed to the body of the trans and you then tee into the brake pedal switch to power the solenoid when the brake pedal is depress. Obviously this doesn't provide the speed based reverse lockout that the factory PCM does,

Yes. (I will PM you re a spare BA2 6Spd Man PCM I have. )

Cheers everyone for your help.

No need for a reverse lockout, I don't have one

Nope, I want to be more reliable than the 4 speed slushbox currently installed.....

I could get that rebuilt, but that will cost at least 2K. And ill still only have 4 speeds. maybe even 3.

Ooooooorrrrrr I could solve all my problems, chuck a T56 in it, and never worry about my driveline again.

Man it up mickus, with a nice light clutch they are a good thing for proper driving, not just traffic light grand prix.
