You'll need to have a bulletproof driveline, that launch control/flatshifting program & a higher rev limit than factory to make use of the 45R...All the driveline is done bar the diff area. dont really care if I blow, it needs to be done anyway. Rev limiter wise the car will go safely to 7000rpm. Pat's installing some atomic cams as well to help it up high.

This will be no easy task, but I beleive we have the set-up to do it.I will be running some very grippy semi slicks, as Pat say's the car has the set up to do it so its just down to me and im pretty confident I have the driving ability to crack an easy 10 in this car. I guess its just a case of watch this post.

But they never do..... Bring the thing over to WA and I'll give it a proper thrashing Good luck with it though - but you still haven't learnt that revs wontt get you there, even 7000 of them I don't rev my evo to that and it's set at 7800k.Keep us posted - to date we haven't seen a time posted in this thread, even a ballpark or starting one - plenty of questions though???? Any more info?Well there's a good answer to that question mate, I need the car in order to run it down the strip. Once Pat is done fitting the new camshafts and he gets back all my manifold/turbo gear from being ceramic coated, the first thing im doing is running down WSID.P.S Dont compare my car to an EVO please, that's a massive insult
Guest Guests Posted 12/01/09 05:56 AM Share Posted 12/01/09 05:56 AM I reckon the evo will post better times than the Phoon though

I would say the only other manual car to have gone down the strip with this much power would be Brians, so that should give you an idea of the power we are expecting

Does the current record holder run that 11.3 or so in a factory turbo or is it an upgraded turbo..Im all for records and that and I understand that youll be running against that time with a gt45r....if so what is the record for a standard turbo , because I think that there should be 2 groups for records...1 is to have standard turbos and the other aftermarket bolt on turbos class.I just dont think that its fair to put them together in the same group.
