I've only tried it in a supercharged car, and if it built any boost, it was negligible.

I guess it would help with a turbo :) Will have to give that a try, one day.

Lower MPH because for equivalent rear wheel power, the engine power is MORE in a manual due to lower driveline losses because there's no torque convertor :)

I recon boost loss on gear change is a major factor. When I've raced equal powered autos it is even till the gear change

Haha pat ;)

I know what your trying to say Keith but how many kW roughly would an auto need to hit say 119mph? Then what kW would a manual need? What % difference in power to accomplish the same thing then how much dif. In % of driveline losses would there be between manual and auto..?

Both being a 6 speed in this case.

Manuals:

GreenXR6T above ran 119mph, - 11.907 @ 119.95mph with a 1.808 60ft - 393RWKW on his dyno sheets...

Poelwyk also in this thread ran 119mph, ironically... - 12.83 @ 119MPH 377RWKW 2.1 60ft.

STAINLESS ran 119mph - 12.742@119mph with a 2.2 60ft, approximately 320rwkw (slicks on this ute)

ZF's... just a few examples I found from a search just now:

FORD G6ET - 11.81@119mph with 1.782 60ft with 304rwkw.

Nubbs - 12.3 @ 119mph 2.25 60foot 311rwkw.

Corzza FG F6 - 11.71 @ 119mph - 2.036 60ft, I think he had around 330rwkw.

Bloody hell, you did well to find that... I thought the Nizpro forum was gone (perhaps forever), but this article (dated 22 Jul 2011) says it would be back up and running within 2 months lol... .should have been 2 weeks :stirthepot:

That's probably the car. Nizpro probably have further details as it's their BF drag car.. wow. Judging by the video linked there (stating that was definitely the same night as the BF got the 10.7, and it being Glouva's small turbo record at the time), the video being uploaded on Monday 23rd May 2011 meant that this record was most likely obtained on the previously past Friday, which was 20th May 2011.

I searched FullBoost's youtube channel in a search for this date and to see if I could spot a Nizpro BF. I found no video's dated 20th May 2011, but found two on 21st May (must have been a Saturday meet), no BF's in that video.

Looking through calder park's website, this gallery -> http://www.calderpark.com.au/media/photos/legal-off-street-drag-meet-hsv-day-saturday-may-21-2011.aspx, indicates that Steve's car was not at Calder that day/night... So the previous night before that was 6th May 2011 (at Calder), checked FullBoost's youtube channel for this date, found this video -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDF0mkygSPQ&feature=player_detailpage#t=63... it's definitely the car! YES! success... hahaha

10.738 @ 144.15 MPH - Manual BF F6 Typhoon R-Spec, Piloted by Dave @ Nizpro - no idea on how much power it made at the time, though. Thanks for the "lead", gaz.

EDIT: Just finished watching the video and it does another run at the end of that video - 11.117 @ 143.63 MPH... must be making some serious power there to be running into the 143's... (big revs, as it looks like it crosses the line both times in 4th gear).
