well I got malwood opt6 clutch, t56, malwood upgraded diff cover and lsd, with nizpro chromoly axels so touch wood she holds up.

In that case launch at high rpm with super sticky tyres and be ready to whack 2nd immediately......I.e. straight away lol. Get through the gears quick, don't over rev....until 4th which may see you over the line (depending on tyre diameter choice and rev limit cut). Good luck mate :-)

Brian ran 145mph didn't he?

138. Over 140 would be something if at full weight.

The last time I went out I broke a couple of flywheel bolts with a very aggressive launch... result wasn't pretty, and very costly.

The box aint the weak point, and they aint slow to shift either - so I can't see much advantage in a straight cut 1-4.

TBH, I can't see why no-one's done it?

312 rwkw wasn't enough! I sold the ute before running (full track) with any kind of power down the 1/4.

I did make an attempt with 351rwkw. It blew the cooler hose off on the launch and went a naturally aspirated 13.2 with an on/off throttle down the track. No tools - went home.. (sad, looking back - but I thought it would run again)

That tune was MUCH quicker than when I went 11.8's with 312rwkw in 35 degree heat.

360rwkw would do it....

But yeah - the keys to something making 370 rwkw + I reckon I'd go damn close with Simon tuning it (XFT)

The little evo heads down again on March 13th, at night with R-comps. Let's see how that goes.... sub 11.4 would be orsm.....

I'd love to chase a 10 in a manual T though.......

theres a few beast in the works at the moment so surely it cant be too long before we see the magic 10.

A quick observation & probably a stupid one but how is it that there are a few Expensive Daewoo v8's with nothing over the top hp wise cracking 10's yet the t struggles to get the ever elusive 10. Slap me if necessary. Whats missing in the T to make a 10sec pass more of a regular accurance???

having driven quite a few manual ls1 and manual t,s.the holdens are fairly easy to get of the line, they dont bog down as much, making the launch alot easier, where if you dont get the t,s in the right rev range they,ll either bog down badly or fry the tyres

How many manual T's have gone out on Slick's & Front Runner's, Billet Axle's, big Clutches, all lightened up ready to race?

Once you see that, you should see a 10.
