My tuner has had some good results too I'm just concerned it may not last aswell as the known quality Gtx.. especially after reading that post turbotrana posted.

I have heard they spool up quicker which would be better on the street IMO but I've spoken to a few Gtx owners now that say they have sfa lag anyway.

Have you looked at the Borg Warner turbos. There seems to be alot of R&D put into those turbos.

The benefits that the Precision may have is that they might have stumbled across a good billet compressor wheel that may work well and they did a youtube video where they claimed their turbine housing has some benefits. Everything else is ordinary. They have alot of reliability issues that may be due to mixing a non water cooled centre with small ceramic ball bearings that may be OK for a dedicated drag car but not for a street car as indicated in that article.

Plus Joe has already tuned bucket loads of GTXs, straight forward as anything.

I went a GTX35. I was told by my tuner it would come on full boost about 500rpm later than the precision.

Refer to my signature. I was happy with the end result.

I am also considering the same turbo as it is my daily... and I was told (can't remember from where though) that the new precisions have gone through a massive amount of R&D and reliability as improved drastically compared to the old ones... don't quote me on that though lol
