Time has come for the first mods to my fg ute I'm aiming for 300rwkw mods I will be doing are

Stage 1 PW stepped intercooler

PW street air intake

Bosch 1000cc injectors

4 inch dump pipe and cat

Will my fuel pump be good for that power, I thought I'd go with bigger injectors than needed incase I want more power later on, do I need any other mods to gain that power, will be doing mods myself will the car be drivable to the tuner, any one can recomend a good tuner in Wollongong any advise on the above would be great

Your probably better off sticking with the factory air box and putting that money towards a pw surge tank. Just cut a hole in the lower part of the air box and put in a k&n air filter.

I agree with lu82. I left my car with the stock airbox and the tuner put in a few extra holes under the box so it is not visible and I got 310 killer wasps.

I choose to get the process west surge tank and not upgrade the fuel pump. Discuss what you want to do with the car, to the tuner and take his advise.

Keep in mind that you are going to need an xcal 3 to get the car tuned. You could ask the tuner for a tune on the xcal3 that you buy from him, so that when you put the id1000 injectors in, the car is drivable to the tuneshop.

In regards to doing the work yourself, I believe that the moment you swap the injectors, the car will not start.

I have read that swapping the injectors is a 30 min job and it would be best to do this outside the tuners shop or let the tuner do this.

I can not answer your question in regards to the dump and cat.

I think you can swap the dump and cat, but you have to keep it off the boost.

If the car boosts and then spikes, you risk blowing the engine.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

I drove up to malaga with a turbo back exhaust and managed to get a check engine light on the way, luckily she never went into limp mode.

The mods you have listed will get you 300rwkw without a problem. 1000cc injectors flow a lot of fuel so you can make lots of power with them if you want more power later on. Your fuel pump will be fine upto 300kw.

If you change the injectors the car will not be drivable, you could install the equipment yourself then just tow the car there to get a tune done.
