Theres a little bit more to it than just turning the torque module off. Shift torque reduction can be adjusted as can shift max torque.

I have just finished working with eric from hpt to get a heap of trans/torque mgmt parameters mapped. I believe hpt now has 99% of the required trans and trq mgmt parameters needed (up to pre tcm flashing level)

Edit: I recently retuned a zf car that was previously tuned with sct and had the torque module switch off. Reenabling trq module and tuning the shift torque reduction and max shift torque has prevented the slight flare the car was experiencing on full throttle shifts.

Im not suggesting hpt is better only that even a superior product when not used to its full potential can cause issues.

When are you writing up an online tutorial for this?

Has the latest version of HP 2.24 got the above in it or due to come out?

If you come from a BF to an FG it'll drive you nuts.

The FG would go to kick out, throw on it's douchebag cap and decline it with a big dirty fart instead.

What version are you on? 2.24.7XX had it for me. Im currently on 2.24.399 and it's all in there. They have stopped the beta releases and now release stable builds basically daily. Eric was intended to have all Aus Ford strategies mapped aprox 14days ago, so it would pay to download the latest and check. If its not in there let me know and I'll get onto Eric.

^^^ Why ?

Yes.. should of been clearer..

Im sure this discussion has been covered before..around the same time I was deliberating over whether to keep the reductions or not. I chose to delete and happier for that

Over 10000kms tuned to 300 something and now at around 400

I think if its an input shaft breakage your worried about youll fined most guys running big horsepower will break them on aggressive kickdowns.. ie stabbing it at cruising speed and picking up 2 gears

Ive learnt just to shift it manually so it wont to that whole downshift thing

I think fart or not..if your on 400+ its only a matter of time before a rebuild..

Some guys are aggressive others abit more mechanically sympathetic

Personally the fart/hesitation was annoying..

Sounded cool.. but slowed things up

I couldn't agree more I think if your kind to these boxes they'll last a while but if you're constantly kicking down 2+ gears at WOT you're going to break something pretty quickly..

I'll probably end up sticking with the fart until the rebuild.. it needs one anyways at 130000kms at 357rwkw
