I have an 04 ba xr6t and I'm going to be doing some work in the new year. these are the things I'm thinking of doing and I just want to know if anyone had any thoughts on whether this will be any good or if I should add/remove anything from my list thanks.

# ss induction throttle body (really only changing due to efi place told e it needs replacing)

# plazmaman valve springs

# process west surge tank with bosch 044 pump

# plazmaman street pro spec 1 IC kit

# plazmaman turbo hot side piping kit

# front turbo housing upgrade kit

# injectors (not sure what size so help here would be great)

# dump pipe (not sure what size so help here would be great)

if theres anything I've missed that I should do please feel free to let me know

If the mechanic said to change the throttle body then ill go elsewhere, standard are more then enough

Get rid of the throttle body and front turbo housing, not needed. Also the surge tank unless your chasing 350+

What power you after?

Edited by freeze_dk

im not really sure on a power figure I'm after but maybe around the 350-400. it'll only be the standard motor.

efi place said that's why my car stalls all the time so instead of buying a standard TB I thought id just go all out and get a ss induction one. I can get a brand new one for $400. doesn't the front housing upgrade help with faster spool up time and has anti surge ?

front housing upgrade is for more top end, not faster spool

04 xr6t with 350+rwkw = time to look at gearbox upgrades

FWIW

Remove everything from the list for starters.

Then add:

  1. best possible tyres to fit factory wheels
  2. Bilstein sports shocks
  3. hi-po Factory brakes (if not already present)
  4. braided lines
  5. lightweight wheels in the same sizes as factory tyres

Only after that even think of adding powa but ensure that brakes, wheels, tyres, dampers etc. are suitable for the proposed torque/power levels.

04 BA 350-400rwkw's id be worried about the engine too swell as the gearbox..

But id do.

Valve springs

Surge 044

Upgrade cat

IC/airbox etc..

wastegate/flapper mod

id 1000 injectors

Then tuned by someone who really knows what they are doing, should be in the 300's then upgrade gearbox, engine, then go nuts and aim for 400.. BA's are very old these days..

I would be looking at a 325mm rotor and C6 caliper premium brake upgrade for the front.
