I recently had a problem where I am travelling at say 60km/h(can be at any speed) and then try and press the cruise button to activate cruise. It just kept blinking and would not stay solid. If I press the set button it would not work because cruise was not active, if that makes sense.

Turns out that ford took a look at this and said the switch at the brake pedal had failed.

A week later that same dsc light came up and cruise would not set.

I took it back to ford and was told that the bluetooth obd device plugged into the obd port, was the issue.

I have it unplugged for 2 weeks now and I have not had issues since.

Do you have anything plugged into the odb port?

it was happening in my ba Xr8 to. what it was in mine was a stretched hand break cable. so cruise would work then hit a bump or something and it turned straight off. get your hand break tighten can't hurt trying.

my clutch pedal would not return all the way back up, I had to give it a little pull with my toes and then the cruise would go again... but I changed the switches first... (sucker here, thanks ford)

was due to the spring on the clutch pedal return being broken.
