Hi all, quick question, did a search couldn't really find a lot of info. Noticed yesterday the ute, mk2 ba xr6t with 6sp is leaking coolant from bellhousing sort of starts about half way up each side and is running down. Cant see any coolant up the top, heater hoses etc all look good. I gather there is a welch plug on the back of the block somewhere. Is it just a box, clutch and flywheel out job to access it for replacement? Any one else had this problem?

Cheers

Not to sure how to post pics, if someone can tell me? Got the car on ramps so could have a good look and its running down the inside of the bellhousing out the inspection plate. Welch plug? What else is there?

Pull your starter motor out and check the drive gear. If you see evidence if coolant on it and inside your bell housing then yes it will most likely be the rear welsh plug. So yeh, box, torque converter and flex plate or box, clutch and flywheel depending in which way you swing.
