Saw this out back of brother inlaws tyre and auto shop. The customer took out the 6 and is replacing with 350 chev v8. What would u have done?

Same easy and plentiful parts available for the 350 without mucking around with computers and crap to get it to run and easier to fix if your off road in the middle of nowheresville

Dont think I would run the 350 chev in a ford but probably 351 would be the best bet.

You could always use the ol injected 5 litre windsor.Cheap and easy to set up and not to high tech to wire up.Also beats the issue that 4wd can have with hills and carbys.
