Was reading the thread about fitting new shocks/springs but it didn't mention needing a rattle gun to get the top hat nut off. I've had to use a gun on a few cars. Are these different ?

Thanks mate. Ill give it ago over the weekend. Will do, got compressors. Learnt the hard way when I was 14 pulling some datto struts apart. Back then I didn't know much so didn't realize the pressure they where under. I have never seen a car part fly from one side of the shed to the other

Touch wood nothing hit me

I did it recently, didn't need a rattle gun for the top nuts but my sway bar was coming loose and making noise until I got pedders to look at it and they tightened it right up with a rattle gun

Do you think ill need to chop the bump stops at all? Rears are kings sssl springs. Going by what the rep said it should measure. It's not going to lower it hugely maybe 20-30mm max

I needed to chop mine one bump. I'm at about 325mm hub centre to guard.

its not too bad with two people. The standard spring is fairly soft, just get someone strong enough to push on it while it gets undone so it doesnt fly off. Then reverse process with your new spring. I did it with a ratchet socket haha. Then just torqued it up

Or just get spring compressors for $60 from a retail shop and have some safety! Still don't point it towards your body.
